Whiteboard Wednesday: The Perfect Lighting Formula for Your Church

Lighting is one of the biggest factors when it comes to whether a video is watchable or not. We’ve all watched those videos that you can barely see the subject and you’re thinking: “What in the world is going on here? I can’t see anything”

As you are working on lighting for your videos, doing a few things right can really go a long way for your video production.

This week on Whiteboard Wednesday, Allen has put together the perfect lighting formula for your church videos!

With this simple formula (and low-cost as well, depending on your budget) you will be able to increase the production value of the videos at your church exponentially!

Also, we know that churches are always working on a budget, so we have put together a list of affordable lighting equipment below that would be perfect for this formula:

Neewer Dimmable Bi-color LED
StudioPRO 1600W Softbox
LED Fluorescent Light
Neewer Reflector

Lastly, If you are interested in signing up for our FREE launch event for the launching of our video courses, click here!

We would love to hear how you guys have used lighting this formula to up the production value of your video in the comments below!

  • I’d must check with you here. Which is not one thing I often do! I take pleasure in studying a put up that can make people think. Also, thanks for permitting me to comment!

  • Back in the day when my head would support long hair, the Christian rock band I was in used coffee cans with light bulbs for a light kit. It worked but obviously we could have done better.

Thanks for the easy to understand tutorial on lighting.

  • We are using video produced by other sources for our services. We are beginning to start to attempt the make our own in house announcement videos and would like to have video testimonies for baptisms.

  • I am not using any video production. I am looking to move into this area.
